A chilling story that lingers

I actually liked Hector's Hell House a lot. It tells a Halloween story that feels entirely possible in today's world - the kind of thing we occasionally see in real news, reminding us how much work society still has to do. I have to admit, though, the film didn't go at all the way I expected. Overall, the acting was strong, the cinematography was solid, and the plot twist was genuinely surprising. The lingering sense of discomfort about what happened - and what might happen next - is a clear sign of an excellent film.

not so convincing

A haunted house, the sheriff and his family in a visit , the prudence of younger son and his reaction against presumed menaces.

Unfortunately, a Halloween short film far to be convincing and working only for details , some sentimental crumbs , old cliches.

Indeed, nothing wrong but the eyes of young Gabriel Storm and his innocence are , maybe, not enough for propose a real good horror but a sort of reasonable, for fans of genre, puzzle.
