Eclipse of Orbital Ordering -The Orbital Eclipse-

When you watch this episode for the first time you will be entertained. The series so far has thrown so many clues and suspicious behaviour that your mind will be filled with scenarios. Why did that women look at Okabe that way, why is there a strange man in the ally, who was following Maho, why did Moeka say what she said. The possibilities are endless. This episode really draws that out to the max by showing, for all but the last shocking 2 minutes, the hum drum of normal life. On a second watching the first 20 minutes are a bit boring, because you know what will occur. This does not detract from the first viewing so its still a good watch.

This episode feels like the story is stuck. While it tries to build suspense, the pacing is just too slow. Kagari's presence is still unexplained, and despite the tension around her memory loss, we're not given anything new. Okabe continues to act like a ghost of his former self, which makes sense in context, but it's also draining to watch. The scenes with Amadeus Kurisu have lost their edge-they don't feel as emotionally charged anymore, just repetitive. There's a moment with Suzuha and Daru that hints at something bigger coming, but it's brief and not enough to spark momentum. Honestly, this episode feels like filler, stretching what could've been a tighter, more meaningful segment. The writing is still solid, the atmosphere still somber, but the show needs to pick up soon or risk losing emotional impact. Hopefully, this is the final "setup" phase before the real conflict begins.
