Sarge: So? We all gonna get along?
Melinda May: You're in charge. We're just here to help.
Sarge: Okay, well, I know what you do. You just kinda glare all steely-eyed like that and then beat people senseless.
[to Daisy]
Sarge: What about you?
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: I'm a hacker.
Snowflake: Like you hack off limbs? Chop people up?
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: No. I hack computers. It means I know how they work.
Sarge: Oh, well, that'll come in handy exactly zero times on this mission.

Sarge: Impressive, right? That's not even my good side.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: Doesn't it bother you?
Sarge: What? That this Coulson guy had my face? Not really. If you're gonna steal, steal from the best.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: No, it's not that you guys just look the same. It's that you guys have the exact same DNA.
Sarge: What is that?

Sarge: Doesn't matter.

Sarge: I've got news for you, sweetheart. I've been to a lot of worlds, and all I see is random.

Sarge: But every time we get close, she slips away - vanishes. Chronyca-2 was the closest we came to stopping her. We took out her crew, had her trapped... and then she was gone. We have no idea how.
Melinda May: After you destroyed the planet?
Sarge: We didn't destroy it. By the the time we got there, it already begun. But this time we're one step ahead. We can keep it from happening here.
Melinda May: What's her motive?
Sarge: Hatred. For all living things.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: What's yours?
Sarge: Love. No, it's hate. That's my thing, too. Hate and revenge. She took my family away from me. I won't stop until she pays for that.
Melinda May: Well, if she's that powerful, how can you kill her?
Sarge: [brings out a sword] There's only one way to kill the beast.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: A galaxy hopping hate-beast that eats planets, and you want to defeat her with a sword?
Sarge: It's sharp. Feel it.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: I don't buy it. What aren't you telling us?
Sarge: What aren't you telling me?
[Sarge points the sword at Daisy and she deflects it into the wall]
Sarge: There it is. Hacker, huh?

Sarge: That's why I was killing the Shrike. To keep them from making that tower. If we don't destroy it before the monster arrives, it'll grow 10 times that size. Then it's too late.
Daisy 'Skye' Johnson: How does it work?
Sarge: They're drawing their power from the Earth. When it's done, it'll erupt into a swarm of those things, spreading across the planet, swallowing everything. Then the planet dies.
