A middle-aged man (Devgn) dates a 25 year old girl who somehow has a hot body but chubby cheeks n nowhere close to Michelle Johnson from Blame It on Rio.
Things go awry when the man visits his ex wife (Tabu) for their daughter's wedding. He has to introduce his girlfriend as his secretary, himself as the brother of his ex wife n his son falls in love with the secretary. This film has a lil resemblance to Blame It on Rio, of course minus the nudity n sex. Ther is enuff humor but has unnecessary songs. The performances r top notch with some soothing cinematography. Kudos to Devgn for sportingly taking the old man jokes. They shud have given more footage to Javed Jaffrey. The female who played the daughter is very irritating.
This film has a hidden meaning regarding divorce. Most fellas hav this shame-based ideology of divorce. This film portrayed that divorce need not have to be bad. In fact divorce can be a new phase if partners separate amicably. I missed this film when it released in theaters cos of Ramadan fasting. Saw this yesterday.

De De Pyar De - if you were intrigued by the trailer and dismissed De De Pyar De is a mindless comedy, then it's worth a trip to the theatre. This film revolves around a 50-year old man falling in love with a girl half his age and its consequences. The subject is dealt with adept sensitivity by the debutante director Akiv Ali, who keeps the initial flirtation and courting brief, and yet confronts the debate over the future of such a relationship between the couple. When they have made up their mind to proceed with their relationship, it's showtime - introduction to the man's family and orientation is in order, and this is where hell breaks loose.
The storytelling is snappy and lighthearted, but it keeps going back to do a reality check on a number of subjects like midlife crisis, a single mother's pressure bringing up her children, the children's rebellious psychology (I thought that the daughter's reaction was completely the top, lacked civility and was the only sore point), the turmoil of the generation gap between the young girl and the much older man and the genuine efforts to come to terms with reality.
Ajay Devgn is suave, in great shape and gives a rock solid performance swinging between the mature man and a crisis-hit lover. Rakul Preet shines bright in a tailor made role, flaunting sophistication, sex appeal, volatility being branded the "other woman". Tabu hits home her natural flair, delivering yet another confident and superlative role. Jimmy Shergil, Alok Nath, Kumud Mishra and Javed Jaffrey provide adequate support. London and Manali are fantastic as the backdrop of the drama, which you can say won't appeal to the masses generally, on the downside. Catch De De Pyar De for some fun and if you're in mood for some thought provoking moments.

So, The movie start slow first 40min or I can say first half is boring because Ajay Devgn and Rakul P Singh is in it all the time.
Ajay around 50yrs and Rakul half of his age fall in love. Sometimes, for a minute Javed Jaffery Comes but didn't make me laugh. And then the interval happen after interval movie is enjoyable. There is no turns/twist but story makes audiance curious that how Ajay will manage the situation or what will happen next. Characters are good, the same "Sonu Ki Tittu ki Sweety" characters are there Aloknath as Father and her same wife, there are some new people like Jimmy Shergil etc. The all Characters as AjayDevgn's Family worked very well they served smile and laughter. Overall the movie is watchable and if you arrive late to the movie, don't worry they lead actors and actress only met and starting loving each other so its ok. The real drama starts after interval believe me. So I can easily say director/writer make it lengthy.
I was feeling sleepy a bit while watching before interval but after interval the fun ride started. Songs are good and if you are a senti/emotional person then you'll cry a bit that's it. The movies shows the barriers and the rule/traditions of our Society(Samaj) and how the movie gives a message of modern youth/Society to other people of Society. I am not saying the seniors are wrong or youth is, the thing is both are right but ignore the facts and believe in legacy. That's the problem.
I have given 6 for 1 hour of Enjoyable Ride.

LuvRanjan has earned a tag of using misogynistic plot for his films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaara Ka Punchnama 2 and SonuK Sweety but De De Pyaar De was different.
De De Pyaar De tells the story of Aashish (Ajay Devgn) who falls for girl half his age, Aisha (RakulPreetSingh), but the problem is he has to get approval from his ex-wife , Manju (Tabu).
After making hilarious films like PyaarKaPunchnama, PyaarKaPunchnama2 and SonuKeTittuKiSweety, Luv Ranjan passes the director's cap to Akiv Ali who makes it a fun loving film. The movie touches upon some great comic moments that is sure to bring down the house. The interaction of Ajay Devgn with his family (Tabu and AlokNath), the girl fight between Rakul Preet and Tabu will entertain you to the core. Luv Ranjan is known for witty and humorous dialogues and De De Pyaar De does have some great funny ones that is sure to tickle your funny bones especially in the second half.
Art direction is nice while Cinematography is cool. Editing is bad and could have been further trimmed. First half is decent but it is the second half which gathers the steam. Songs are just about okay. Coming to the performances, Ajay Devgn steals the thunder once again with his outstanding performance. The actor has just superb expressions to emote when he is sandwiched in the cat fight between Rakul and Tabu. Alok Nath will again surprise you his witty humour. Tabu is mind blowing and is sure to win your heart. Rakul Preet looks gorgeous and does fine but could work on her expressions. Javed Jaffrey and Jimmy Shergill does well in miniscule role.
On the whole, De De Pyaar De is a good entertainment which will be enjoyed for comic scenes.
