    Momentum Maintained

Episode 20 keeps up the intensity the series has finally found. Everything is moving forward with purpose now, and it finally feels like real Steins;Gate again-tense, emotional, and full of weight. Okabe is fully locked in, the supporting cast feels meaningful, and each scene drives the plot further. What stands out most is the pacing: tight, direct, and efficient. There's no more wasted space, no more unnecessary emotional spirals. It's all about progress and pressure. While it's not as explosive as Episode 18, it holds its ground and builds perfectly on what's come before. The stakes are clear, the choices matter, and the direction is focused. The episode hits hard without overdoing it. This is the kind of steady, well-executed storytelling the season should've had all along. Solid 9-no hesitation.

    Time Travel is very complex

Another excellent episode, designed to let Okabe understand the consequences of letting WW3 occur. It also introduces a very clever idea, although the complexity of it is pretty mind blowing. I will be interested in seeing how this flows on to the rest of the series. This episode tells us why there is a rebel group in the WW3 time line, because Okabe and his lab knew Kurisu. ON the other hand in this timeline they did not know Kurisu, so I am assuming its something to do with Maho. The other odd thing is the lack of a Mayuri, in the original WW3 timeline she was the pseudo mother of kargari, who needed to travel back in the time machine being made. There are a number of the logic gaps, but the episode is so good it does not matter.
