A great start to season nine

The family themes continue from the high points at the conclusion of Season Eight.

Danny applies good common sense but he realises that closure is overrated.

Erin settles into the new role whilst Jamie and Eddie move forward, doing good work as they navigate the practicalities of working as an engaged couple. A resolution emerges.

The sergeants exam results arrive and The Family swings together.

This was a great episode and gets us into S09 smoothly. Viewed December 2025.

Lou Diamond Phillips who played a hitman was in the movie The Big Hit (1998) with Mark Wahlberg, Donnie Wahlberg's brother.

Goofs
A busy interview room or not, and with or without handcuffs, bringing a suspect for many violent crimes into an office cluttered with office supplies and personal mementos can lead to dangerous consequences. Leaving him there alone (even to peel Danny off him) could have led to him picking up something to use as a weapon.
