Sausage Party
I think that in the end of the day, a comedy has achieved its purpose if it makes you laugh. And this silly film made me so. It's not remarkable, but it's not forgettable either.
There are two or three moments where it really made me laugh out loud.
It amazes me that it was written and directed by Gendy Tartakovsky, because I'm used to a very different kind of work from him.
Give it a chance, but know that it's not for everyone. If you liked the Sausage Party, you'll enjoy this one too (Mexican double meaning).

Unhinged But Enjoyable Adult Dog Comedy
I'll admit that this movie is absolutely unhinged. But to be honest, it's not really as bad as the internet say. Fixed is a decent adult animated comedy that does have its own issues, but can have some funny moments along the way. The movie does contain a predictable story and some of the jokes can feel a bit strange. But at least it does have solid animation and characters that have a fair amount of development along the way. I know that this movie is not for everyone. So I will ask that if you're uncomfortable of seeing an adult oriented comedy of dogs, then this is not for you. But if you are interested in what the movie is going to offer even as a fan of Genndy's works, then maybe watch this at least once. This movie is not really that bad. It's just that it could've had bigger balls.
Fixed
Cannot be viewed seriously, take it for what it is...
A foul-mouthed comedy in cartoon format about a dog about to have his bits off...
It's like South Park meets lady and the tramp...
I caught the kids watching it a quickly had to turn it off but decided to watch it later in the evening. Killed some time but can't say I'd watch it again.
Raunchy but passionate
I feel that the movie was judged too fast based on the slap together Netflix trailers. Sure it's raunchy with a simple story, but I really like that we got an original 2D animated film that's manages to be its own thing with a cool cast of characters and a great animation style. After hearing how long it took Genndy to get this thing made I couldn't help but feel the passion in every frame. Well maybe not every frame. Still a little upset it got robbed from its theatrical release, but at least it didn't get shelved.
Hilarious
It's very obvious from the first minute that this is a adult animation and you need to go into it with that in mind. This movie is funny as hell and if you're a fan of South Park level comedy you'll love it. Despite the humor it actually has a great plot with everything you could ask for in this kind of adult comedy.
Did you know
- TriviaGenndy Tartakovsky wanted the animation to be reminiscent of Disney's Lady and the Tramp (1955), while also drawing inspiration from the works of Tex Avery and Chuck Jones' Looney Tunes shorts, particularly due to their emphasis on expressive animation.
- GoofsAfter hitting Bull with her car, Honey's owner should have recognized him as her neighbors' dog and taken him home, following the dog show.
