I kinda miss a few things...

The episode itself starts with Frank and Amy playing cards. Yes, you heard well: Frank Castle having fun with a liar, ungrateful, blackmailer, disrespectful kid. How is it possible? Remember that episode in season one, when Sarah's son acted like a prick and pissed off Frank? And Frank opted for scaring the hell out of him with that knife? Now tell me... Why doesn't he do the same? Instead of that, he enjoys her company. My God! He even talked about his family, about her daughter with Amy! As far as I remember, in season one, the only time Frank talked about his son was to Karen on that bridge scene.

I think they messed up this season by putting that character and what bothers me most is that they are trying to build a connection between them. And no, that's absolutely ridiculous. They are so different. And watching Frank act like that, makes me wonder... What did they do to this season?

Yeah, Amy's story gives us a pretty cool action scenes but nothing more... It's cool for a filling short story to the season's main topic, but should have ended in two or maybe three episodes.

You know what I miss? I miss Micro, I miss Karen, Lewis and even Sarah... They were great characters. I miss those heart-touching talking moments we had with Frank. We got nothing yet, and I think it's disappointing because that's what made The Punisher different to other shows.

I am really hoping for a decent character to show up, I think the season needs it.

How are the cards stacked for Frank Castle?

Frank has his meaty hands full in this brilliant fifth episode. Not only has he a physically and mentally scarred Jigsaw prowling the city, the troubled Pilgrim is also out to cause him and Amy significant harm.

Giorgia Whigham continues to impress as Amy. And she cleans up well after a spot of retail therapy, thanks to Madani's flexible friend.

We're also treated to an ultra violent set piece. I'll never look at a gym in quite the same way again.

10 out of 10. "What does bad look like?" Indeed.

    The face

Billy's face is not depicted bad enough. He still looks handsome..with a few scars. His face should be totally ruined. Brilliant acting all round by him but the face lets him down.

Only weakness in this series is Dr Dumont. O one would be as stupid as she is.

Love this Punisher but feel they let us down with Billy's face. Really enjoying the darkness in these stories. Constantly worried about the Punisher.

Nice to see Turk back in the stories, hope we get Daredevil back, and we see Turk again.

Will be glad however when Amy's story is finished.

    Plot Development

Amy and Frank have great rapport and their scenes are always so strong. I really enjoy her character development and arc; she is an asset to the show and adds more dimension to Frank. This episode is well-balanced between plot and character development and action.

    Stack the deck

For me, this has to be the most well balanced episode of season 2 yet. The writers seem to have gradually won me over with Amy's character as I felt she started off too judgemental, but they have developed her in a way that allows for a more enjoyable chemistry between her and Frank.

Shows like this need some lighter scenes like these to stop the episodes from becoming too monotonous and grim. As a result, the stunning action scene seems more earned by the end of the episode and was executed very well.

The character Turk Barrett, played by Rob Morgan, is the only actor who can be seen in all 6 Netflix's Marvel series: Daredevil (2015), Luke Cage (2016), The Defenders (2017), Jessica Jones (2015), Iron Fist (2017), and this series, The Punisher. A lot of the characters can be seen in 1 or 2 out of the 6, but only Turk is in every one of them.
    • Goofs
Turning the second round Three Card Monte, Frank picks the middle card and says, "Are you kidding me?" This implies that he lost. The card that was flipped over was of a red suit. The only red suit being used for the game was the Queen of Diamonds. Frank actually won the round.
