Dolor is an extremely well-made stop-motion short film based on a true story. It is largely symbolic, portraying the grief and emotions the director experienced after losing her younger sister years ago. Since then, she has become a strong advocate for suicide prevention.
In the film, a character clearly identifiable as the director herself struggles through painful hurdles while chasing after Death, who has taken her sister away. Despite the sadness at its core, there is great beauty in this story, and I can't help but admire the remarkable talent of this writer-director.
