An Excellent Satire of Female Relationships and the Social Media Era

This episode of Into the Dark does a great job of creating a tense atmosphere without being too heavy handed. The acting was hyper realistic in the sense that we all know a girl or two that perfectly fits the mold of any of the lead characters.

The scariest part ends up being that even though the plot is a bit exaggerated, it's entirely plausible that it could actually play out in real life. Definitely worth the watch!

    Terrifying

I have to be honest, this scared me more than most horror does. Nothing is scarier than living in an age of culty social media loving millennial psychos. I found it incredibly believable and eerily realistic.

    Slow paced

Very slow paced, no backstory to how Alexis got the scar, no backstory on kelsey the girl who committed suicide, it was a lot of confusing scenes

Good concept, not executed very well

The concept is interesting and it starts off okay. My biggest issue in the begining was the camerawork. It pans over or zooms in and lingers on something for a while, as if trying to be ominous but it feels awkward more than eerie. Some of the acting (not all) seemed a bit off but I thought it was just because the characters were supposed to be awkward or we just weren't supposed to know their motives or exact emotions quite yet. I eventually realized that a lot of the acting just wasn't where it needed to be to really sell the character. Despite this, I was still interested in the story overall.

I started to lose interest later on when some of the decisions didn't make any sense, and pretty much completely lost interest when the "action" parts and dialogue with them seemed so incredibly strange and clunky that my brain couldn't even force itself to be invested in it. The final scene was just... odd. And then it zooms on on pool water without showing anything else like it's trying again to be creepy and just failing at it. Also, I expected that at the end we would get answers to some things that had been hinted at or discussed, but we don't, and it's very disappointing.

Overall, good concept, just needed to be thought out a little better.

    It has Carly Chaiken

No seriously I like this movie for having Carly Chaikin and I am going to be honest that's all this movie has going for it. Love you Carly!
