I'm a die hard fan of Xiao Zhan who was waiting for his next acting stint. However as this was his first acting role, I was afraid he might come off as rookie but I was pleasantly surprised. The emotional scenes were well portrayed. He makes his presence felt even as the second lead. Now keeping my bias aside, Wang Talu and Li Qin have also done a fantastic job. Though the story picks off kind of cliché, it gets speed half way. Overall a pretty good watch 👍

The show was shot at location up in the mountains, and it shows in the beautiful movie-ish scenes. The main story line is kind of a typical Chinese/eastern Asian fantasy soap story line----it is interesting in a very foreseeable way. However, the side stories are fascinating, especially the family drama of Jichong, the second male lead of the show, that was only touched upon. My feeling is that the show is worth the time even if one is only watching that secondary story line.

This drama has all the makings of an early 2000 idol drama. The love and hatred between the main characters is puzzling but it is still interesting to watch. The romances between Jichong (Play by Sean Xiao) and the leading female characters are like the landscape of Shangri-La, addictive and beautiful. What really impressed me is a chivalrous spirit in Jichong that I hadn't seen in a long time.

I often touched by the bitterness and sweetness of love from Jichong's perspective .In addition to romance love, the relationship between father and soon is also a highlight in the plot.

Sean Xiao's performance is very touching and makes the audience believe in the plot 100%. Thank you, Sean, for bringing such a great drama to viewers at the end of a cuel year!

Overall, this show is not as consistently sharp as one might hope, there's a lot of intriguing elements spread about.

I have waited for this drama for three years and it finally arrives! Xiao Zhan did a good job that I can't relate the character to himself and any other characters he had played before. I heard that it was his first formal acting in a drama and I would say the result is definitely astonishing. The story plot appeals to those soap drama lovers but JI CHONG's story line is attractive, touching and full of humour. Looking forward to Xiao Zhan's future works since he is such a talented and hard-working actor

Great production and storyline. As the story progresses, you will start to love all the characters. Great acting from the main leads and the supporting ones. Xiao Zhan definitely shows his acting talents even though it was his very first important role!
