    Incredible

Absolutely outstanding performance by all parties. Like many I felt this season would lack the oompf the previous seasons had but this episode alone carried the entirety of season 8 so far. Looking forward to what the future of suits holds for us.

Litt is best and Alex is the worst..

I never liked the character Alex even in the last season but this episode confirmed my all thoughts. Well even the way he speaks is like he is forcing the lines to come out and always with a same face expression in a hurry, in and all he just does bad acting (not commenting on his acting skills). In comparison Louis is the star, beats everyone with his best acting full of emotions in all scenes.

Getting it when you no longer want it

This was an interesting mid-season finale. Although the season is not off to a strong start, the series consistently delivers strong finales. This one brought together the main storylines: Alex and Samantha fighting to become a name partner, Harvey and Zane backing them with Robert's struggle of managing the firm, Donna mediating between people and Louis stepping back. While these storylines weren't as complex or grandiose compared to what we saw in any of the previous seasons, they come together with a well-written plot. The outcome of the fight between Alex and Samantha was constantly held open, with all combinations of them winning being equally possible. They ended up going with the most conservative choice. It was a decent way to close it, especially with the message about the importance of the unification of the firm. It is good they finally closed this story because it started to be repetitive and boring, on top of the fact that it wasn't an ominous fight anyway. Donna's plan to force Robert and Harvey's hand with the voting was very clever. It was built up to the fact that she isn't a partner but can vote. This, combined with the Mexican standoff between Robert and Harvey caused by the conflict between the two created a unique situation to pull off her trick, which was a great strategy and was well explained. The big plot twist choice that they had to agree on was the only viable one, and the show managed to create a new situation regarding Louise that wouldn't have happened under normal circumstances. Louis got what he wanted after such a long time, after which he no longer wanted it. I can already see the upcoming conflicts that the second half of the series will be about.

One of the best episode so far.

This episode could have been more interesting if they add Ross some how into the equation. Because at one point they were about to ruin whole firm.

    Review of the latest season

A number of people have criticized Suits this season for Samantha, the swearing and the supposed void left by Mike & Rachel. This is not entirely true. For the most part this season has managed to produce some decent and interesting episodes. It is certainly a more darker season and if you note there's a void it's because its a smaller cast and Mike was never replaced. Also Rachel was the worst character in the show and it was long over due to have her leave. People should remember that the worst season actually did involve Mike and Rachel back in season 3 or 4 with Logan Sanders. It mostly boils down to the writing.

The acting was decent as were the cases, overall not too bad.

    • Quotes

Robert Zane: So you think you have what it takes to run this firm?

Louis Litt: I know I do. And my first order of business is promoting Alex and Samantha at the same time.

Robert Zane: And any managing partner worth his salt can see they'll never go for it.

Louis Litt: No. They're either both gonna accept this or they're both gonna walk the fuck out the door because I am sick of this shit.
