I like the idea of an atheist whose father is a Reverend and is friended by God on Facebook, it's kinda silly but it's fresh. really got me hooked up.
the cast is good. story is interesting. this seems like a series with different story with each episode. and it's about family, love, reconnections, hope etc I'll definitely watch the rest.

I did not watch the pilot when it first came out because I was vacationing, so last night I downloaded the CBS app and watched it with my wife. Wow! This episode really touched me emotionally at several different times and levels. Of course, when you just mention the word "cancer" that can usually relate to many people nowadays.
Anyhow, I love the premise of the show especially how God uses social media to communicate His thoughts to the humans He has created. The two lead actors- Miles and Cara- are PHENOMENAL! I identified with both very quickly and immediately they had me. The supporting cast in this episode was great too, especially Miles computer nerd friend. I hope he is involved for all 7 episodes. Anyhow, it didn't take long to get to know the history of both lead characters so be ready for such enlightenment.
I agree with a previous poster here.....this show will certainly not be viewed by the growing number of agnostics ....but hopefully it will reach out and connect with the many who do appreciate the possibility of being touched spiritually. So for me, a big resounding "YES" and 10 stars for the pilot. I really hope it stays the course and doesn't try to compromise the character of God by veering down a liberal path that is not reflected in the Holy Bible. So I leave with this one word......MORE!

I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. A man who is now atheist, yet was brought up in the church (his father is a reverend), gets a friend request from God. He thinks someone is messing with him but then God sends him a friend suggestion from a guy, then a woman and the story interweaves beautifully from there.
I know a lot of people won't turn in because it has God in the title but I think just as many, if not more, will. Christians have missed shows like Touched by an Angel and this is sort of a today's version without the angels. However, I don't necessarily think you have to be Christian, Jewish or whatever to find the story a good one. I'm only reviewing the pilot episode so I hope the quality continues.
