    A Collectors Dream

If you collect anything like music, books or comics, what happens in this episode would be your greatest fantasy. No way would I have the strength of character to do what Rob does. Parker Posey has a terrific performance in this guest starring role, everything she does makes me laugh.

    GREAT episode!

I'm a fan of the movie, albeit I havent seen it again in years, but this was the first episode that felt like it was truly its own moment without too many verbatim nuggets from the original. The bulk of this episode may've happened in the book, which I have not read, but I can't recall whether something similar took place in the movie. BUT THAT'S A GREAT THING because it had its own charm, took its time fleshing out its moments, and every character felt authentic and organic. Many of the other episodes, Zoe Kravitz kinda felt like she was doing a lowkey impression of John Cusack's performance - this finally felt like she struck her own groove while staying true to the character.

    Redemption!

The rebound from THE PIT makes this show watchable again!

    Much more than expected

This serial has the original atmosphere plus the right adjustment to now. Great music, great Zoe I enjoy the performance of the lovely weird Parker Posey in this one.

    • Trivia
This episode is based on a deleted scene from the original movie where Rob Gordon goes to meet a woman (played in the movie by Jane Lynch) who is also fire-sale selling her soon-to-be-ex-husband's massive, equally-as-impressive, record collection. In that scene, Jane Lynch's character was informed by her husband (who had run off with their daughter's 19-year-old babysitter to the Bahamas) to "sell all of his stuff and split the difference". She offers to sell the whole set to Rob for $50, and unlike Noreen in this episode, does bend the offer a little to $90 (but wouldn't take a cent more than that). Rob Gordon equally refuses to buy the whole thing for such a low price, but like Rob in the show, does find one album he really likes and manages to get it from her.
