Great plot and good intentions but the bad actors and actress tanked this movie. After 10 min I shut it down. The close ups on people's mouths and the colors omg.... not every scene had a 90s look.

It wasn't bad for a low budget and new actors/actresses. You got the point of the movie, it is very heartfelt and you should give it a chance.

A inspirational story overshadowed by unnecessary plot twist and forced acting. When will your next project be released?

Literally the MOST poorly acted movie in existence. Ive seen high school plays with more realism and flow of conversation. Its as if no one was in the same room when talking to one another. The plot was all over the place and poorly transitioned from undeveloped character to character, that had nothing to do with the lead actress, and the ridiculousness of trying to sell this as some kind of coming of age story is laughable. The "heroin" is a weird thot that is living under a roof with her oblivious brother and abusive mother. She sleeps with her friends bf, robs a cop and dismisses anyone that isn't concerned about her... how is she the heroin, again? It shouldve been called Hot Mess. The sub plots are wonky and out of place. The closeted cop and his odd wife that is the sister of a known drug dealer is bizarrely placed in the middle of what I thought was supposed to be a DC teen trying to survive her environment. Mannn do NOT waste your brain cells. It's TERRIBLE.

The acting is terrible but not unusual for a low budget film. The black detective does a pretty good job with his role. The woman that plays the lead actress's mom is a believable character. The plot seems to lack clear direction of story line it was trying to convey but it was entertaining. The era of the time was very authentic and the soundtrack is really dope. If anyone can find out how to find the list of songs on this soundtrack please let me know.
