Well, I've watched every freaking standup comedy special there is and, let me tell you, this is on my top 3. Freaking hilarious and I don't even like the guy as a comedian on his movies! But this is amazing, in fact, you know what... I'm gonna watch it again right now. Period. It's THAT good.
The Chris Farley song is amazing btw. He should release it as a single or something.

There are some negative reviews here so I'd like to give one from the positive side. I'm a huge Adam Sandler fan, present tense. However, I am capable of recognizing when his items are no good. I recognize that much of the later work is not very good. However, this special is vintage Adam Sandler. It's both funny and emotional. You may have to have some knowledge of his old work to have that nostalgic feeling, but it's definitely there. This is actually an emotional set, and it was when I saw it live in Houston as well. I preferred this better than the live show. Complaints ab about it structure of stand up comedy and how it's supposed to be done by some of the reviewers here are unfounded. Sandler has been doing stand up for a long time. Some of this can roll forward into a new album, which would be a great idea, and I'd definitely buy it.
Adam Sandler is a genuinely funny and multi talented guy. This production hearkens back to his first comedy album, "They're All gonna Laugh at You!" He has come a long way since then with comedies, dramas, and even action movies, but this is reminiscent of the immature BS that made us laugh so much 25 years ago. Fart jokes, sex, gay stuff, F bombs and all that wrapped in a kindhearted delivery from a world class goofball with a genuine love for entertaining people. It is low brow comedy that does not rely on being disgusting or shocking; it somehow comes of on the cute side of that genre. Absolutely no political commentary! Just immature jokes from an older dude who continues to make me laugh with this new material. It's not for everyone (my parents would think it's stupid) but I loved it and will watch again.
I laughed so hard i had a physical cramp in my side and when the end came around i was in tears and wished there was more. It's definitely worth watching!
Heartfelt and sincere. If you like old school Sandler, you will like this one. Some people have way too much salt....
