    something new and different

Totally new story, take and POV on Dracula and his history and lore. Really don't get the critics, and why they dont like it. it would actually be really boring if would got to see the same story, over again. I recommend it... it's not a jawdroper, but it's pretty sweet to watch... something new and different

    It Will Float Your Boat

As Dracula makes his way to England, he has set things up on the Demeter, so he will have his earthen boxes and enough people to eat. But on board is our Sister and she is in his way. The claustrophobic nature of a packet like this makes him very visible. There is a good deal of tongue in cheek for such a violent piece. Unfortunately, going into episode three, I've just figured that the third episode will not end this but push into another entire season sometime in the future. Am I right?

    Skip the last episode

Stop while it's still good and leave the conclusion to your own imagination unless you want it to be ruined by the last one.

    Dreadfully embarrassing

In a nutshell, not Dracula, not scary, not well written (apparently the pair earned just short of 50k each for this garbage) and hard to believe it was worst than the first episode. All budget spent on first episode, direction, well there is none, not often you feel sorry for actors but dear god. Moffat and Gatiss have lived on their PC nice rubbish far too long and need to get bit and walk off into the sunset.

    Masterful storytelling

With the almost claustrophobic setting of a creaking Russian ship, the cheekily titled "Blood Vessel" harks back to the classic BBC horror stories of days gone by.

Strong on intelligent dialogue and rich characterisation from an excellent cast, this episode is gripping, suspenseful and, like the first episode, inventive and unpredictable.

Claes Bang is a mesmerising Count. He's absolutely believable as the smooth talking vampire, bringing fresh life to a familiar character.

    10 out of 10. Unmissable.

    • Trivia
Count Dracula dresses in Bela Lugosi's classic vampire costume for the dinner aboard the Demeter.
    • Goofs
Dracula tells Piotr the story of admiral Nelson, and how he was brought back to Britain after being killed in battle by putting him in a barrel of rum. Actually, Nelson was put inside a barrel of brandy. Given the fact Dracula absorbs the knowledge of his victims by feeding on them (and previously had killed a very cultured Englishman), he should know that.

Dracula: I love science. Science is the future, Agatha.

Sister Agatha: And yet you still fear the cross?

Dracula: Of course I do. Everyone does, that's the problem. It's not a symbol of virtue and kindness, it's a mark of horror and oppression. Your idiot church has terrorised the peasant population for centuries, and I have been imbibing the blood of those same peasants for so long I have absorbed their fear of the cross. My God, I can't wait to eat some atheists.
