"What is it you do for a living?"

Julia Garner is fabulous as Ruth this week delivering a range of emotions, well beyond her 'go-to' angry aggression. We see a sensitive and thoughtful side to her character allied with force of will. Ruth begins to better understand her position in the hierarchy and where her loyalties might best lie

Following the ambush last time, everyone is nervous and the stakes get raised for everybody, with some deadly decisions and their consequences.

Terrific episode as we begin to build to the finale.

    • Trivia
The sports car Sue is driving is a McLaren 570S which has a price tag of around 195'000 US dollars.
    • Goofs
As Nelson sanitizes Sue's records, he removes the ledger card for Marty and Wendy Byrde the last entry on which is Marty's $100,000 10/15/2018 bribe. This scene and ledger could not be occurring in October 2018 as none of Charlotte, Jacob or Erin have returned to school as yet. Also, the decision of the divorce arbitrator only awarded Helen custody of Erin for the summer. Erin appears in Episode 9 going back to her father. Further, in Episode 10, Wendy tells Ruth that Ruth has only known Ben for two months. Ruth first met Ben at the Byrde's cook out on Memorial Day weekend, thus an October date for this scene and the ledger card would be impossible.
    • Quotes

[Another day, another person killed by Nelson under Helen's direction. Helen and Nelson are watching the car carrying their latest victim Sue, the Byrdes' marriage counsellor, slowly sink into a lake]

Helen Pierce: She was a good listener. Do you ever get tired of this?

      Nelson: No, not really.

Helen Pierce: Good. Keep your schedule open.
