The story is getting a bit simplistic and this episode just wasn't fun. It's like they are purposefully trying to dumb things down.
I know this show is all about fun but this time it felt more stupid than funny.

Twist and twist and twist every 10 minutes. So unrealistic Starting this season....and way to petty.
This show has been so gripping and satisfying, until this season. Season 4 has really seemingly become about social commentary, with all the new characters being DEI hires. The show keeps trying to churn out girl boss types, in a parade of unlikeable and unrealistic, badly acted wannabes. Not only does this hit like disingenuous pandering, but it takes away from a very original and effective character in Taylor. This series of arcs is like the Temu version of what Marvel keeps trying to do with their new choices. Just stop, already. The subject matter, and the storylines don't require so much artifice in the messages being shown.
At this point it's not weather or not Billions was good, but just how good. The show is acted superbly every week and the writing is always top notch. This week touched on a few areas. Chuck was given an ultimatum by Wendy and must put forth some of his best tricks. Axe and Taylor are still butting heads and Taylor May have an ace up their sleeve regarding the Fracking project. Still looming over Chucks head is the Attorney General and his band of merry men looking to take him and his family down. Not the greatest episode , but still very entertaining. It is shaping up to be a great final push towards the finale.
