Oh boy, wasn't that a disappointing show?
You have the duo of an 100 year old brainwashed assassin trying to escape his PTSD horrors by righting wrongs working together in an uneasy at worst alliance with the second in command of Steve Rogers trying to fight a group of disillusioned radicalized neo-terrorists in a globetrotting adventure, add in a old conniving antagonist of Zemo by the talented Bruhl into the mix along with a government funded cheap replica of the great Captain America who has a hard time adjusting to the role and you're supposed to get the best spy genre action thriller tv show. But no instead, we get irrelevant non sensical group of terrorists led by an psychotic angsty teenager who can't even act out of a wet paper bag. Just following into the footsteps of the previous monumental failure of Wandavision from the so called 'powerhouse' of marvel.
I guess they can sell anything now just by adding 'from the MCU.' The plot was paper thin, the characters under utilized and absurd so called 'twists' destroying previous character development, the action and plot was absolutely horrible. I guess hiring a second unit director of mediocre action flic as writer didn't work out for them.

This is the best MCU Disney plus show so far. The story and the action is the best out of the 3. This had a real strong story hope that people will get and understand the message and see another people's perspective and reality. Love what marvel showed here. Action was great loved the flying scenes with sam he looks good as cap man. You can't tell me a flying captain America isn't cool. Action in ep4 and 5 was great and. We were introduced to 2 new young avengers. Sharon character was developed. Everything with zero was great. Villans were great giving a different perspective. Don't know how you can't like this as soon as it's over it makes you want to watch it again, thx for reading, God bless.
I didn't get the end title "Captain America and The Winter Soldier", since i thought that the point of Bucky's journey in this show was to get rid of his Winter Soldier identity because of the horrible things Hydra made him do under that name. And that's just one of the many inconsistencies in this show. And also; they talked about being a Black American superhero, like it's a completely new concept in the MCU! The majority of the highest ranked bad ass American soldiers characters who are part of The Avengers in the MCU, were already black people: Director Fury is literally the mastermind behind The Avengers, James Rhodes/War Machine/Iron Patriot is the only soldier to ever pilot an Iron Man suit, and Sam Wilson/Falcon is THE exceptional soldier in a secret prototype unit. As a black man, i found that this subject could have been much better addressed; but here it felt(to me) simplified to the point that it didn't feel very genuine and part of the established universe. The TV show "Marvel Agents Of S. H. I. E. L. D", with its multiracial cast, addressed the race issue in a much more natural and genuine way; in a few episodes.
What can I even say.... I loved this show... Good Job Disney and Feige. Jjscjgegejgsjrjejsnfjca.
Bucky and Sam confront the Flag Smashers.
This is a okay finish that rounds off the character arcs well, presents plenty of heroic spectacle, but for me it trowels the social messages on a bit too thickly and in mostly uninspired ways.
The plot is one long action sequence followed by some emotional exchanges of dialogue that allow characters to complete their series arcs. This structure just about works but I think the action scenes drag on for marginally too long and get a bit distracting at times.
What kills all momentum and feels very clunky and out of place is a passage of dialogue written for one of the main characters. I have all the time in the world for the themes explored in this show, but for it to all come down to something as cheesy and clichéd as a preachy monologue is quite disappointing. It is so drawn out that it makes the actor sound he is giving an overly long Oscar acceptance speech.
All the scenes that follow are much better. Both Sam and Bucky finish off with some solid character moments, particularly the one involving Isiah Bradley.
The visuals are strong, with some great effects and action choreography.
All performances are great with Sabastian Stan and Carl Lumbly standing out. Erin Kellyman is better in this one but her character is largely forgettable.
