Alonzo Bodden: Heavy Lightweight

I've been watching Alonzo for nearly 20 years as he's slowly gained an audience by his many appearances on TV and at comedy shows. I guess I didn't see anything in the last few years so when this show came on Amazon my wife and I tuned in. What a difference. He's grown as a comedian. Funnier, and more edgy. I think he's "found his voice". Really love to see it when this happens.

Great fan of the genre, Stand-up comedy, I try to watch as many comedians as possible, you know, to compare and sack a lot of those doing what they think it's funny. Comedy is not about a person, man or a woman, saying smutty, filthy nasty jokes with nothing but cursing... Comedy is about intelligent remarks on subjects for entertainment porpoises.

Here we got Alonzo: A fine to the point jokes machine well oiled. Intelligent gentleman, who is there making us laugh without being crass. A breath of fresh air, these days. Just watched and liked instantly, saw his name on the prime video list, and decided to give it a shot. What was my surprise: how come he is in this business and I have not heard about him before? Oh my, what have I been missing. So go ahead, sit back, relax and enjoy yourself with many acute observations, your laughter is guaranteed, as were mine. Many thanks to Alonzo, for making this world a better place, with such a simple thing as an excellent job done.
