Can't say I'm really feeling this nuclear meltdown zombie contamination thing. I appreciate them trying to take it up a notch with the zombie threat but they haven't really sold this thing. Nice to see the power plant in the distance from the Beer balloon though.......
I hated the balloon but I still enjoyed it, maybe that's what this series needs, some good self depreciating weirdness,
So one woman works alone to contain a nuke meltdown in a world where that's probably not the biggest thing to worry about. They spent so little time selling the threat though. Thought the scene with Morgan and his old stick would yield some bigger insight and laughs, it was ok.
The best bits again were John Dorie's. I like the luck angle, things just fall into place for the guy, surprising even him. Would have preferred he didn't break his honesty code to perpetuate Dwight's story though. It makes a change to see good in the modern tv world instead of wall to wall grimness and dark choices.
Don't feel the need to turn Dorie dark, he's fine just as he is.
Looks like the paid 10/10 reviewers are still in a job after all. You know we can see what other programs you've reviewed. Having only written 3 Walking dead reviews is a Walking Dead giveaway. At least whack down some rubbish for a couple of other shows for your employers just to make it look like you're at least trying to cover your tracks.
This is how The Walking Dead works the best, the group back together and working together. This was a needed episode as it moved the episode along nicely whilst nailing the character moments as it brought everyone a time to shine. Character moments like Morgan's and the heart to heart conversation with John and Dwight is two of many great moments of the episode that doesn't spoil anything. The pacing was actually really good as there were three plot points, it turned out nicely. How everything played out was a joy to watch, great television. Branching out from the The Walking Dead formula and succeeds. This is how I wanted the 4th season to be, no villain, just the environment as the villain and they succeeded!
The only bad thing about this episode was how they shot some scenes in the dark, made it really hard to see the faces at times, other than that I couldn't see any negative parts of this except for one other thing that's a spoiler. It was a great episode that focused on moving the story along with great moments and acting that makes this one of the stronger episodes of the season. The writing was a big part of the episode except for one thing that I found plot holish, the dialogue were some of the strongest yet of the season.

Episode 5.06 (3 out of 5 stars).
While Morgan and his group are tasked at fixing a plane to escape a contaminated area. John and Dwight are on a search for Sherry.
The episode is a bit of a slow burn. A plot that is little interesting with a group being stuck from a power plant that is beginning another meltdown and the zombies are contaminated with radiation. The kids are stubborn on leaving the hostile location. The episode has been nothing but a repetition with a weak story and slow moving pace. A group of surviving scientists exterminating the radioactive zombies. And a mysterious military group that is coming and going. The season needs to pick up.

This show has completely lost its way, not since season 3 which was excellent and great story with the bikers, plus a cliffhanger ending, but what happened after it went on a different path entirely, in season 3 they had found perfect vilian to continue on, but no writers decision on a different storyline dat a 2 year old could write, its finished this show for me anyway, I did not watch all season 4 and expected it to pick up on 5 but worse its getting....
What is this show anymore? It used to be smart, it used to be self-aware. Season 4 and onwards has been pandering, moral-speech-throat-shoving garbage. The writing has dipped from one of the best shows on air during Season 1 through 3 to one of the top 10 worst, I'm talking worse than The 100. This episode felt like an episode of a show on Disney Channel with a sepia filter. There were 10 (yes, I counted) "moral" speeches given in this episode alone. 10! Also, beer balloon. I don't even need to explain why that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen from FTWD. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
