No... you guys don't understand this episode it's great.

This is not a story that needs to be pushed. I think season 2 does even better than the 1st, the fact that it takes a sort of a backseat while it pushes the narrative even more of the supporting characters IS VERY STRONG. I love getting invested in even the characters I found to be annoying like the bullies... like the popular girl who got her virginity taken away by the main character. She was always just a comic relief or villain type but they even have depth this season. It's like every character has a BIG role to play this season and I love it. This season isn't about OTIS trying to get with Maeve right away that's what we want, it's about him coping with his mother being awkward taking his love away by going out with her father, invading his school, it's about Otis having to deal with his dad who is always a fraud, it's about Otis having to deal with HIS issues including Maeve and his ex. He's not just going to jump into maeves arms and live happily ever after and I'm GLAD Netflix has the balls to not give us fan service and actually push compelling narrative forward.

    Season one was better

In the first season, the main focus was on Otis and Maeve and there was another good stories but not with all of this details in the second season.

In this season, I feel like all the cast had equal time of appearance maybe some people like this but I hoped to see more scenes for Otis and Maeve with more focus on them because I think everybody love both of them more than the others and watch the show because of them

    garbage

Painful to watch. The writers no longer care about the story and have seemingly run out of ideas as they're now just trying to stretch a relationship as far as it can go. And to shamelessly end the season on such a cringy cliffhanger. I adored the first season. After this episode, i no longer care about the show. Takes some pretty dreadful writing to make one do a 180 like that. They should feel ashamed.

    An appeal to Laurie Nunn

After viewing three times the first season and two times the second, I decided to write something about Sex Education, and the right place should be here, in the controversial last episode so far... By the way, it's my first comment on IMDB, and this should say a lot how much I care about this show. With no doubt I give the entire first season a 10 stars. I discovered this show only the last November and the first 8 episodes hit me like a truck... I'm definitely not a teenager any more but I was entangled by the incredible result of the writing, acting, directing, photography and music choices of this series. But above all, I have to admit, I was struck by the beautiful chemistry between the Otis and Maeve characters. Scenes like the walking home from the abortion clinic, or the one in the swimming pool, or the "jumper moment" on the bridge, or simply the "steal something" situation in the shop, will be always in my mind (and heart)... So even the unexpected first season finale had little impact on my whole emotion about the show, knowing that more had to come... And all that, of course, had a big influence on my expectations about season two. All considered I found again the same brilliant, funny and touching mood along the new episodes. What I expected most, however, was a bit missing... and I'm talking about the relationship between Otis and Maeve. I can sound a bit silly and naïve, but I would have enjoyed more moments between the two, not necessarily romantic, because each time these two actors interact it's a pleasure to watch. So that's why I can't give more than 8 stars to the second season. And absurdly enough, even another frustrating ending is not the reason of complain, again giving hope to see more of this show. But let me make here an appeal to the creator of this revolutionary series... Please Laurie Nunn, if you are already writing the new episodes, make sure to dedicate more moments to Otis and Maeve, developing their story with all the twists that you fancy, but let us enjoy again this magic couple. Besides, you are the only one who can really engineer a relationship...

Good things come to those that wait

If You only watch this show for Otis and maeve grow up and stop slamming the show because you didn't get what you want. This season was fantastic and we saw excellent development for plenty of characters and great storylines for them as well. Watching a show for 2 characters is just plain stupid and the fact they didn't get to together YET , doesn't spoil a fanatic season

The amount of liquid in Otis' lemonade when he has a talk with his dad after the book signing. In the one-shots of his dad, the drink is very nearly over-topped; in the one-shots of Otis, there is clearly at least a cm of space from the rim of the glass to the lemon.

Otis Milburn: Hey, Maeve. I know you can't answer this right now because, uh, I'm watching you on live TV, but I wanted you to know how proud of you I am and how unbelievably stupid I've been. You telling me you had feelings for me was... was all I wanted to hear, and... I was so caught up in trying to do the right thing, I lost track of what that actually is, and it's you. It's always been you. I love you, Maeve. Call me back. I hope it's not too late...
