I will silence the haters
I was a bit sceptic when i saw the bad reviews. I took the gamble, and it was worth it! I almost binged watched till episode 5. So don't be scared and just watch. Allthough it is a little bit scary ;). A mixture from Predator with fast paced Walking Death.
When Predator (1987) meets The Hill Have Eyes (1977)
Great idea to mix the best from the original Predator (1987) and The Hill Have Eyes (1977), two of my favorites. Also, most of the action remembered me two of the best video games: Call of Duty and Resident Evil.
So, overall the result is powerfully visual. Great action survival horror series. Hopefully season 2 will give us more answers.

Predator meets The Descent
As a television product itself is well done. Filming in the jungle is not an easy task, episodes are way too long though. Directing and acting is not the best but is not awful. Photography and VFX are good but not prosthetics, all guts look fake. Direct sound is deficient, often you can't understand what the actors are saying (even if you are a native Spanish speaker) and as an original idea well, the title of this review says all: we see this before a lot: Sending a platoon on a mission to kill a drug dealer is same old story, to top that the creatures in the caves are pretty much the same as in "The Descent (2005)". . . So, meh! Production Company Rayhuela Films copy themselves, they already made a movie called "El Páramo (2011)", again with a troop of soldiers in the middle of nowhere that find some kind of witch. So double meh!
Surreal adventure that needs a second season
I only watched this with a Predator nostalgia. As a South American, the Spanish version makes a lot more sense than the English one. We are used to magical realism and the intangible harsh universe that embodies the jungle, and all related to it, therefore the show is good, filled with action and unexpected turns. The actors are really something, and the sets had me wondering how come they had the professionalism to go into those places... I wouldn't have even if paid... but the lows are located in the narrative, that many time losses cohesion. The way this story is being told requires a broader explanation, and some consideration toward the expectator that knows little of the frenzy connected to these places, especially the deep scars left by the opportunism led by the first European conquerors to the nowadays guerrilla groups. There's great potential here to keep developing an outstanding tale. Aside from that, the jungle is always an unsettling scenario for horror movies.
But for ending 😡..I loved it..
I loved the narrative I loved the tribal cult like aspects of this I love the jungle setting I loved the slowly being revealed bits and pieces the more you watch.. but the end is very disappointing... Could have been a nine star for me if it had a better ending...
