  • A small poor family in a remote village at dry zone who faced a series of miseries due to a wrong news report published in the national media stating that their son is involved in a suicide bomb blast carried by L.T.T.E terrorists.
  • A simple Sinhalese villager was accused of bombing an army truck during the war time. The newspaper headlines called him a 'Sinhalese tiger AKA Sinhala kotiya' as the terrorists called themselves. Due to that, Sinhalese patriots rioted against his family, hit and broke his elder brothers legs, burned his house and chased the family away to live in a poorly cornered manner. After 9 years, his handicapped brother finds out in a teared peice of newspaper that the police has found his brother not guilty of the crime he was accused of and he was just in a bad place at a bad time. He reveales that to his still sorrowing mother and she wants the news which says her son was not guilty to be published in newspaper headlines. So brother starts off his journey to Colombo in his wheelchair with his friend to find out the newspaper company which published the news clipping he found out. And the story continues...—harelives

As a result this family was chased away from their native village. But after 9 years their Brother -Guna came across a news report in a discarded piece of paper where he found that their brother is totally innocent and not involved in the L.T.T.E bomb blast at all. But their native villagers did not accept that report. Finally Guna and his only friend Lewis an illiterate cattlemen who looked after buffaloes in the village came to Colombo and tried their best to correct the report and rebuild their self repute amidst many difficulties.—asitha dilruwan
