Watched it at night in bed with my wife, less distractions from kids, can really soak up the movie. What struck me immediately was the uncomfortable nature of Kidman's character, she was not believable as a boss type character, it was like she was trying to involve every stereotypical character who has ever played a female boss. If you look at Moore and Douglas in 'Disclosure' you can see great character development, she wasn't always the same character, there were dynamics to the role. Even tho in that movie I feel it was portrayed a little over the top, but not as bad as this pile. The intern wasn't believable, their relationship wasn't believable, relationship with her husband wasn't believable. Whole movie was a waste of time, I was gonna watch. Ep 10 series 7 of curb your enthusiasm, instead of this.

I think if anyone has seen the original must be thankful for David Soul 70s style womanising aspect of the story finally removed. I read the book as a kid and enjoyed the TV movie, thought it was reasonably scary with decent vampires. Buffy should be shot for what was done to the vampire industry, totally destroyed it. This new version did seem rushed, but there were too many unnecessary sub plots in the original anyway. I liked the way the movie charged ahead and got to the meat of the story fast. I thought the vampires were terrifying, very good efx and make up, the glowing eyes were very cool. I was worried at the outset but I warmed to the actors eventually.
