Ok, so where to start with this?

1. Jump scares are a cheap trick to imitate horror. Boring.

2. This movie completely lost the fundamentals of the Warren Method of work.

3. There was no connection to the family in the house. Making pancakes does not replace the human story.

4. Any demonologist worth his salt would tell you that you need to call the demon by name to get rid of it. What was this one called?

5. The story line was exactly the same as the Enfield story because the demon used ghosts to hide from Lorraine.

6. Acting was very very poor. Superficial and dull. You can see that the Warrens were near retirement. It felt old. Slow. Dull. Boring. There was no connection between the audience and the victimized family. Its just bad.

7. Also free blood samples were given to production teams... Buy one gallon get 55 free.

8. There were no religious connections to this film. They purposely igbored the fact that the Warrens were strong Christions and based everything on their beliefs. Those strong beliefs flew out the window here... Maybe its a sign of early retirement.

9. Minus 65 pojnts for the shockingly bad CGI. We are over that crap...

Overall, this film left too many holes and perhaps my expectations were not that great seeing the last good one was no 2... This one was just bad.

This is one of those movies that make me question ratings.

One rates this 9/10 and another 3/10.

What are these ratings based on? In this case the story was about as exciting as watching cheese melt.

Visuals are good with superglue strong retro vibes and i thought it looked plastic. Plastic is fantastic....

Pedro. Nope he didnt do it for me in this role. He had no style, no razzle dazzle and no smarts.

Vanessa carried this, she was good, but the writing let her down.

I dont know who the other folks are, and i aint bothered to look them up either.

This felt fake, felt stupid and bad writing let the whole thing fall flat.

I enjoy watching this. Its not complicated. No gore, guts, swearing or nasty bits. I would even let the kids watch this! This is not CSI or Law and Order or some "serious" stuff. Its just "Murder she wrote" fun...

I enjoy the Jamil Al-Rashid character - he is a great addition to the sleuthing team. And comic relief in a way. Just a likeable character.

The stories are good, even though they might seem a bit simple. They are just that - simple stories perfect to watch while ironing or doing dishes. And it IS quite entertaining - except for some of the songs... Some i just skipped...

The scenery is good - some shots do look like they were taken from travel guides. The ship is a beautiful thing. The MSC Virtuosa and i enjoy the back office side of things. Although working on a cruise ship doesnt involve solving murders on every cruise or at every port and being a cruise staff member isnt that simple. Its quite fun to see.

UPDATE: Season 2 is worse. The songs are worse. The hairstyles are worse. But Jamil is still cute.

Someone else mentioned that all the killers are women... And now i need to rewatch the whole series 1 to double check... So its a bit forgettable as i watched the Christmas special last night... And i can only remember that killer... But the one with the rosary beads was a man... Anyways. Thats all i can remember.
