  • Switch off your brain and enjoy the film

The film itself is entertaining throughout its two hours, but you shouldn't pay too much attention to the logic, otherwise you'll find plot holes as deep as the Mariana Trench.

As in the first part, the actors are well chosen and it was a pleasure to see Ben from Viva La Dirt League in a supporting role.

In this second part, the story shifts more towards a global threat instead of the robot horror action of the first part. Not a bad idea in itself, but the execution was a bit bumpy in places. But with enough beer or similar, you don't notice it anymore. The little action there was was well done, the choreography was entertaining, and overall, the time passed more quickly than with some other films I've seen lately.

All in all, you can watch the film if you don't have high expectations or expect any depth.

  • Could have been a lot better

First, the good parts of this film. The cast was reasonably acceptable and the actors tried hard.

The plot could have been interesting, too, if it hadn't been so unnecessarily drawn out. The ending was more than disappointing and didn't really make much sense.

And one big question that kept coming up for me throughout the film: were the animal trainers too expensive?

The dog Simon only appears when he is needed for some element of the plot. Otherwise, he is never seen in the house or the surrounding area. He doesn't come to cuddle or anything like that. He is only there when he is needed. In addition, he completely changes his appearance at the wedding. Secondly, there is the horse in the room. When you first see the shed, you hear a horse snorting in the background and there are riding accessories lying around. You never get to see this animal, so why give the impression that it's there? And who feeds the poor thing?

The story was very contrived and tiresome. I watched the film to the end, but I wish I hadn't.

Save yourself the time and watch something more exciting instead.

  • A bit cheesy, but better than some hollywood flicks

I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie. I saw it by chance, but the premise sounded quite interesting. It had a bit of an Eldenring movie feel to it. Knocking off bosses one after another and so on, but it had its own charm. The religious emphasis was a bit much at times, but the characters carried it.

The make-up was very good in most cases and the sword fight scenes were also well done.

Highly recommended for a nice fantasy evening. However, anyone expecting Hollywood action and flat dialog like in the latest Marvel films will be disappointed here.

Since the review has to be a bit longer, even though everything has already been said, I would like to mention the great chemistry between the two main actors. As I've seen, they've also played together in other films, so maybe it's because you really believe their connection to each other.
