Here is an example of a simple story told in a such a great way. Sam and Norbert did a great job I think. Although I am still not a fan seeing adults curse in front of the kids on screen but I guess it slowly become normal nowadays.

Sad thing is I met many men and women and they mostly go through the same similar crisis as they do in this movie. I am not an expert or anything but it feels authentic in this film. What would you do if your wife disrespect you in front of other people in public? Or what would you say if your husband always so passive? As it says at the end sometimes only you can help yourself.

I will not get into all the details in the movie or the script and say how great it is. But I can tell you I remember my hair stood up several times during the first time I watched this movie. Not to disrespect the American voice-over but the original Japanese brings a different vibe throughout the movie. The American Castle In The Sky seems like a different movie. Not to mention the music is placed a little differently(Yes I can tell. That's how many times I watched this) I believe I am one of a few that actually read the book that came out with the movie when it first came out. It was fantastic to say the least. It gives us the inner thoughts of the characters and the meanings of some of the little things you see in the background. Also an extra ending after what appears in the movie ends.

The music is unlike anything else, too. I hear people use its theme song as ringtones still.

Until this day, when people ask me what is my favorite movie since I am an indi filmmaker. I tell them "Laputa".
