Housefull 5 is a chaotic mess of a movie that somehow manages to be both loud and formulaic. The film's attempt at blending comedy and murder mystery falls flat, with the humor feeling forced and the jokes often not landing. The script is horrible, with too many characters and subplots that don't mesh well together. Many talented actors, like Shreyas Talpade and Johny Lever, are wasted in underwhelming roles. The film's treatment of women is regressive, with female leads having little to do except look glamorous and be the subject of adult jokes specially Soundrya Sharma's character. Sonam Bajwa shines in one scene in particular. If you're a die-hard Housefull fan or enjoy Akshay Kumar's comedy, you might find some laughs. Otherwise, it's skippable.
The makers must have made this movie keeping it in mind to sell it off to a premium OTT at a premium price by cashing on the recent popularity of Mr Ahlawat due to his acting skills and Mr Khan due to his recent real life action skills, and to use this money to make more movies with the rest of the Khan brigade. If this is the level of Marflix Pictures ( Marvel weds Neflix ), please spare us from this crap. The movie has style, but no substance. The actors try to do whatever they could assuming they already knew this will skip a theatrical release. The movie defies logic and sense and is best avoided.
I was so thirlled to watch this one on OTT and even recommended everyone in my circle to watch this after reading all the positive reviews and ratings on various social media platforms, however, the truth of the matter is this movie was very strange, lame and weird. Infact, if Sajid Khan would have directed it with Akshay Kumar in the lead, the critics would have blasted it from each and every corner. Never ever I have seen dozens of people in the background doing such bad acting specially in the Goa scene, why and how they selected the third guy ( dont know his name) to play a lead role along with Prateik and Mirzapur guy. Prateik really acted well and I believe is the only saving grace of the movie. Had high hopes from Khemu as he is so good at comedy but all great actors are not necessarily great directors aswell.
