Watching this all the way through and reading most of the reviews, I really appreciate this episode. Fast forward to 2024 to see "Animal Control" staring. Joel McHale based in Seattle Washington.
Now I could have gone for a spoof like "Airplane" being spun off this. Nowadays, with so many streaming production companies it would probably fly high.
(yeah cheesy pun intended)
Reading about Jack Webb he always took his work seriously and also guarded the professions of the characters portrayed. Yet, from only what I've read, had a very good sense of humor about himself.
True to his form, he selected some of what became among the top talent in this production. I totally enjoyed watching this and anyone can spot the corny scenes and takes all very familiar with every show made during that ear from "the Waltons", "Little House on the Prairie ", and so on.
Emergency is a good watch to go back through as I am also doing with "Law and Order:". Yes some of these shows can make you cringe, either for what the reality they portray, or, how they do it. It's still worth watching and keeping in tack. Laugh with it or at it, just enjoy it because that was the best work for it's time and is so much better that a lot of what's made today.

I used to have this on VHS. I cannot find this anymore and feature review reference to Mark Harmon's performance is so true. Very compelling, convincing, a "how to" to manipulate your prey, authority, influential people, and just get away with felonies while posing or being an almost lawyer/attorney. Watching the steps taken and effort by the character played by Mark Harmon is tyering to sit through but worth it. I just wish it would be updated to be played out again for all to see since it was a made for TV mini series i would think it's easy to do. I wonder though if the character is just in conflict to Mark Harmons latest "NCIS" role and the folks sitting on the rights don't want it to conflict. Just a thought. This is worth the watch if you can find it.
I owned this in VHS format. Yes the main character portrayed as a hyper type with what now a days could be diagnosed with multilple seven syllabil worded ailments broken down to odd lettered words. However, I was deeply entertained by the production and performance along with the execution of the story. I have no experience or knowledge of what went on in the film. But felt I could believe any, or at least some of it, could feasible happen. What I do notice is that at least three movies along with "The Falcon and the Snowman", and, "The Deliberate Stranger" with this all have very few reviews and deserve much more credit and attention and I hope will eventually see that happen and become more available and reviewed to enhance what makes these productions such contrivutions to continue and promote the good work possible in future movies.
