I'm not going to patronise Imtiaz Ali, Kartik or Sara Ali khan for that matter. Love aaj kal is fresh take on the youth of two different eras. Raghu & Leena are small town lovers based in Udaipur whereas Zoe and Veer are millennials of Delhi. The Innocence of all these characters makes them endearing and relatable. Screenplay is clean and crisp. Songs by Pritam is good. Cinematography is top notch. Kartik and Sara on fire. Randeep Hooda nails it like cobbler. Don't listen to any reviews. This poison is needed to be consumed on its own, not on somebody's suggestion weather to drink it or not.
Let me tell you first, I'm not a fan of Aditya or Disha, but then comes MALANG with high dose of love, adrenaline, action, drugs and beaches of Goa. Malang doesn't promote drugs or tourism of Goa instead deals with issues lying in our morally corrupt liberties and how choices we make end up taking us into unknown. Mohit Suri direction is good specially the introduction of Aditya in opening scene.Disha is lived her character to the fullest. Crackling chemistry is evident in both the lead characters. Anil Kapoor and Kunal khemu are exceptional. Music is top notch. Malang and Humraah are going to sway you from your seats.
Malang stands for all those self intoxicated solo backpackers who are searching for their other crazy half.
