I grew up in a small town in Colorado in the 60s and 70s. This show was spot on. The subject matters were so apropos to the early 2000s. Great character developments, showing the shortcomings of everyday people and professionals.
I love Tom Armades' voice. When I first started my binge watching on my Kindle I wasn't paying much attention. Then this voice came on. I would have sworn he was Jimmy Stewart, who is one of my all time favorite actors. Same voice inflections! Love this show, and I know in 20 some episodes it ends. I'm sorry I waited so long to watch it. Biggest shock was a young, curly haired Chris Pratt! He was a good actor then, still does not disappoint.
I don't get something, though. The lettering on the high school spells out Everwood High School. But none of the sports teams are EHS. They are PCH, for Peak County. This is a glaring oofdah. I get the continuity of the school name with the show, but geezo. PCH makes it look like all the schools in the county are one school district. Ither close lying towns are never mentioned so the teams are not combined, so why??? Okay, another thing that torque my cookies. If Everwood is 3 hours by car and 4 by bus to Denver, how are all the trips to and from treated so lightly, especially in the winter? Ok, one last beef. Dr. Brown and his kids seemed to have moved to Colorado at ir near the beginning of the school year, which would be late August or early September. In the first or maybe second episode there is snow on the ground. Not unheard of in the high country, but the terrain isn't depicted with tall peaks. Then in the next several episodes it looks like summer rolling into winter. And by the way, there was a Colorado A & M decades ago, but it was nothing in Colorado Springs, it was what is now CSU in Ft Collins. Talk about a crapload of poetic license.
