MAPPA killed it with this adaptation. Having read this when it first came out, i've pretty much waited 2000 years for this episode. The chapters adapted in this episode were without a doubt my favourite section in the entire series, so needless to say the revelations in this episode were incredible and added loads to the lore of this story. Though, what really surprised me was the use of colours throughout this entire episode, especially the reds and greys during the flashback to differentiate characters and point in time.
After waiting so long to see this animated, safe to say it's everything i hoped it would be.

Obviously nothing beats 2d hand drawn animation, but the cg is fine, you guys are just being mean
I saw this thru a TV Rip with poorly google translated subtitles, truly the definitive viewing experience if i could say so myself. joking aside, from the story i could make out it was super wholesome, creative and made me feel like a kid again. Also goes without saying but don't expect a profound life changing experience like Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, this was a simple fun and creative movie with a whole lot of heart. strangely, the movie ended just as it got really interesting, which felt so abrupt because it honestly felt like the end of a first act in a 3 act movie, i'm seriously hoping for a few sequels because this was a super fun and colourful movie but judging from what they show in the credits that seems unlikely which sucks
love you goro don't let the haters discourage you from making more movies, you do you king
