I'm unsure as to how some reviewers have given this as low as a one even though I understand that opinion is subjective. I enjoyed this after its slow start. People claiming they know cryptographers and it's all nonsense: for God's sake it's a TV drama, how many use 100% complete facts? Others it seems can't enjoy a slow-burning British drama, it seems that they need gun-toting, screaming and sweating Neanderthals, shouting and crashing their cars to get any enjoyment. I loved the plot, the characters (one doesn't have to like the protagonists), in fact the whole story. I'm sure it won't get a second series but I've enjoyed this one.
Having only ever seen the original with Jodie Foster we booked to see this and fitted in its predecessor only the day before, which we enjoyed. This really is better than the average comedy sequel with plenty of laughs and a whole lot of concentration needed to keep up with who's who. For this reason I would caution against taking young children to see it as it would not be easy for them to follow. Curtis and Lohan are a great film duo and the former really makes it with the character she inherits from the body swaps. I think that in both films, more could have been given to Mark Harmon and in this sequel, they maybe could have got a more energetic actor for the character of Lohan's intended. Overall though, we quite enjoyed this.
I'll start by admitting that these comic book/super hero movies aren't really my thing but having watched a few over the last couple of years I thought I'd give this one a try too. Well, my overwhelming emotion is that's nearly two hours of my life that I won't be getting back. To me, the story was rather lame, the script was poor and even the acting wasn't up to much. Even the humour was weak. As for the ending, the less said about that the better. I won't be rushing to catch this quartet in future films.
