I went to see this film with no real expectations and was absolutely taken aback by it. A true story of two people who became unlikely friends and dealt with, among other things racism, prejudice and homophobia.
When it won the Oscar for Best Picture, I was jumping round my living room. A well deserved bunch of awards for Mahershala Ali, but the real star of this film is Viggo Mortensen. His portrayal of Tony The Lip is one of the greatest modern performances you will ever see. How he never won Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG, BAFTAS or Oscars is one of the biggest miscarriages in all awards history.
I highly recommend this to anyone. Do yourself a favour and spare 2 hours.

Without a doubt, my favourite episode of Inside No. 9. Must have seen it 100 times and it still has me in tears. It reminds me of the old comedy duos of the 80's like Cannon and Ball and Little and Large.
I really don't get the hatred this film gets. Whoever voted this Worst Picture and John C. Reilly Worst Supporting Actor and this years Golden Raspberries, obviously didn't realise it was a spoof, in the same vein as Naked Gun and Airplane. From beginning to end I didn't stop laughing. Will it be remembered in 30 years? Probably not but at the moment, if you want a good laugh, check this one out.
