The proposal has been criticized for rehashing the lifestyles of the Rich and famous trope that's been present since the dawn of Cinema in the screwball comedy.
Despite the wealth of the leads being a little unrelatable, the characters are well written and performed with finesse, and the story is charming and relatable.
Though there are some over the top unnecessary CGI gags, The Proposal gives movie goers what they want, and entertaining Steven heartwarming experience.
It did very well in the box office. Making a profit and bringing crowds in for weeks. Why were critics so hard on this movie?
For being too normal I guess. I like a romantic comedy that isn't too challenging, but I also don't want it to be brainless or heartless.
This movie really fits the bill.

Like all great anthology series not only have some of these episodes inspired now established genre tropes, but Welcome to the Paradox is window into many current societal woes.
Low ratings may be suggested reason why this show was canceled, but with the very first episode being a scathing critique of commercialism and the media, I wouldn't doubt if sponsors didn't approve the content.
Isaac Asimov said "Science fiction is the history of the future."
Not every episode is strong, some have messages I don't agree with, but it's a solid series that deserves recognition.
I'm giving it 10 stars to up its average.

If released 20 years ago a movie like this would raise cultural awareness. Unfortunately we've become a society that glorifies atrocity and celebrates villains.
Far too many people watch a movie like this in this day and age and root for the bad guys.
Anyone who watches Killers of the Flower Moon and walks away with a feeling of affirmed wickedness and bigotry instead of moral outrage is part of a serious societal problem.
Well written script, riveting performances, period set and costumes are spot on. The story will be heartbreaking and challenging to everyone who has a heart a heart mind.
