Good paranormal/Horror/Supernatural Films and shows

Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Ingrid Pitt, and Edward Woodward in The Wicker Man (1973)

A list with zero actual organization. The only criteria for inclusion is that a film must be at least partially sci-fi in nature, and one I like at least moderately. Get out the popcorn.

In no order, some decent titles that involve time travel; some are funny, some much more serious but I've liked them all at least somewhat.

These are mainly what I consider 'testosterone' films, movies that are entertaining without being really deep (or, in some cases, not deep at all. Their inclusion here does not imply they're bad films, and there's no order to the list either. But they're good popcorn movies in the least!

I don't watch a lot of television, so when I choose to actually watch a show, I have to really, REALLY like it to stick with it. Here's what I've been watching over the past few years

Christopher Eccleston, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who (2005)

This is a list made up, primarily, of documentaries, but it also contains some fiction. The common thread of all of these films is that they invite the audience to think, and, in many cases, to act. Some are far better than others but they're all kind of, in their way, political, and I value them for that reason alone.

Paula Jean Swearingen, Amy Vilela, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Cori Bush in Knock Down the House (2019)

Every item on this list is based at least partially on real-life, actual events. It's history, dude.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford in All the President's Men (1976)

just some long-standing classic movies. some are pretty old, some not so much. and some are better than others, but all have some quality that sets them apart from the pack.

Gregory Peck, John Garfield, and Dorothy McGuire in Gentleman's Agreement (1947)

These are all sorts of films that share one common trait: they always make me laugh. Lots. Often enough to cheer me right up out of whatever funk i sunk into. Laughter is GOOD.

I'm not a gingantic musical fan but a good musical, I do enjoy. Here are some that are fun, spellinding, or just flat out impressively entertaining for varying reasons, in no particular order

This is a diverse list of movies, old and new, across all genres, that I've watched recently and really liked.

Taika Waititi, Ben Fransham, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Jemaine Clement, Jonny Brugh, and Stu Rutherford in What We Do in the Shadows (2014)

In no order, the films listed here all share two traits: they're all documentaries, and they are good to excellent. Some are hilarious. Many are quite moving but all are informative, entertaining and fascinating.

Attacking the Devil: Harold Evans and the Last Nazi War Crime (2014)

This is a list of fun, distracting, often funny adventure films. Some are even educational in a way (how'd we know what Flux Capacitors were before Doc Brown told us?)

Everything listed here, in no particular order, is something I watched and either partially disliked or gave me no redeeming qualities to make me like it. A lot of it's unrealized potential, but sometimes when one sees a turkey, it has to be called the turkey that it is.

(No particular rating/order here) This is a work in progress. What differentiates films on this list is not quality so much as the fact that they are flicks I can watch over and over again and enjoy thoroughly. Some are old, some are fairly new; all are just awesome in my book because they make me laugh, amaze me,or otherwise always manage to engage me.
