What can be said about the cast? Great actors and support and dont get me wrong, the show is not terrible, but its just the same old boring story. Inter personal drama centered around crime family. This has been done to death at this point. You throw in some extreme personalities to keep it interesting and maybe one reluctant anti-hero and there you go. Very formulaic and predictable.
End of the day, this needs comedic relief because it takes itself far too seriously despite being unbelievable. For example, Tom Hardy's character is essentially John Wick. He scares everyone by just talking despite being goofy looking. Unlike John Wick however, there is no comic relief nor fun to be had.
Nor are any of these characters intelligent in a way that makes them interesting. They are assertive, and many people seem to confuse that with smart, but they are the farthest thing from smart that one can be. Assertiveness is how dolts compensate for being unintelligible. They are doorknobs hence why they are have to resort to crime to begin with. Don't need to do that if you are actually intelligent to begin with.
IF you are really into crime family dramas then you might like this. If not... move on.

The title sums it up. This is one of those shows designed for mid teens. You know... the age were penis jokes are hilarious and panties make boys giggly and that's enough to keep them interested.
I think it has too much sexual innuendo for kids under age 12 or so. So unless you want to program your kids early (why would anyone want to do this?) I would wait on this till they are older.
On the other hand, Its an absolute snorefest for an adult. The sexual tension and innuendo is too juvenile and will put you to sleep. But whats worse, the adults depicted in the show are just the same.
All the sex aside, the show is about exorcism and such with goofy humor. Id say the art style becomes "cartoony" during action scenes and when combined with the goofy characters, takes all tension out of the fights. Dont expect an adrenaline filled scene during fight sequences.
All in all, this is for early tweens, maybe ages 13-16. If you are that age group, add 2-3 points. For anyone older, it will be boring. The story is tiring and old.

This was truly pointless. Its a shallow remake of the original without any effort to make it stand on its own. The character backstory is similar to the 1st in terms of motivation and he ends up in the same situation.
The political angles were over the top. Denzel's character was shallow and very linear. It would have been nice to see something unexpected but ultimately he was just a plot device. The emperors were ridiculous and have no semblance to their historic counterparts. Not that this matters for the sake of a movie, but they were a bit too unbelievable. Granted history is filled with worthless leaders but come on...
But the best and worst parts of the movie was the combat. On one hand, it was nothing like the 1st movie which tried to be somewhat believable. This hurt the story a lot because it was out of place. This movie is straight out of a fantasy novel like Game of Thrones complete with fictional creatures and a boat battle in the arena... I was almost expecting a dragon fight. It was silly but at the same time, this was probably the only fun part of the movie and I did give it a few points for that.
Anyway I found the movie to be rather boring outside of the flashy battles. I would skip this movie especially if you loved the 1st. Frankly, this should not have been made... it makes the 1st movie look bad.
