Where do I even begin, there's so much I love about this show! All of the characters are extremely well designed and dynamic. Even characters that had considerably small amounts of screen time breathed into life with layers of personality built on a simple sentence or their expressions and even gestures. You can't help but empathize with the characters because they come across as very authentically human and relatable. The voice acting is superb as they are able to convey these characters in very realistic and human ways. There are also so many deep analogies through imagery such as contrasts in the background or deeper meanings reflected in nature which really goes to show the superb directing abilities of the producers. Many of the messages delivered in this show are extremely subtle that compiles into a bigger picture which is what makes this show so re-watchable because you can always catch something new that you haven't realized before. This story is a deeply enticing one that explores the themes of honour, sacrifice, love, family, and the cyclical nature of human life. The art itself is of extremely high quality, the movements are very fluid, and the music beautifully transitions and sets the tone for important moments. This is a powerful story that will leave you to continuously think about as it continue to explore the subtlety in love. For those who may have heard of the BL elements in this show and want to avoid it, it's so subtle you almost have to look for it. The storyline itself is very intricate and weaves many complex emotions for all of the characters. It's a beautifully crafted story where the protagonists happen to develop romantic feelings rather than having an absentminded romantic plot that is just dropped on the audience. Afterall, love is love is love, who cares what form it's in? Strongly urge everyone to give this show a try!
Oh hi, I am so glad you have come to the review section to decide whether or not this movie is worth watching, and I can vouch for it 100%. I understand the whole scandal with the treatment of Hercules, the German shepherd and PETA's reaction to it. However, I would strongly encourage everyone to do their research first before you blatantly believe whatever pop-culture media propaganda that is being thrown at you, especially TMZ. They live to expose scandals, and you have to understand, they had the video for MONTHS - but they chose to release it the day before the premier of the movie. Think about their intentions... it's not for the humane treatment of the animals, it's all for scandal and explosive fake news. The producer has spoken on behalf of the production team, and he explained the full TRUTH of the situation. Go read what he said, have an evaluation of the two sides of the story and then decide what is correct. I did it and decided to watch this movie and I do not regret a second of it. So.... here's some information and what I thought about the movie.
This movie centers around the consciousness of a dog named Bailey... He paints a tale of his relationship with his human, Ethan. Their bond is really special, but as the life of a dog is inherently short, Bailey's conscience goes on an adventure of different lifetimes to explore his purpose. This movie will make you laugh, say aw, and cry sometimes. It certainly took me on a roller-coaster of emotions and it was so well done that I can say I haven't felt so immersed in a film in a really long time. The feelings you develop for the characters and turmoils you see them go through, makes you realize just how special animals are and how amazing of a companion they truly make. This movie promotes that dogs and all other animals are sentient beings with thoughts and purposes in life. They also highlighted many issues surrounding the treatment of animals and their well-being. We are truly lucky to have them in our lives and sometimes you may not realize how much they care about us and how much they are willing to do for us. It really gives you a moment to appreciate your own pet or inspire you to get a little buddy of your own. I give this movie a 10/10, and I would definitely encourage everyone to watch this film and get in touch with your animal- loving side!
