Lie to Me is one of those shows that went too under the radar, and was cancelled way too early.
Tim Roth is perfectly cast as Cal Lightman, giving a performance that in any just world, would have skyrocketed him to the next tier of acting.
However this is more than just a one person show, the whole ensemble does a great job in turning what could be a novelty idea into a really powerful show.
The human behaviour and body language angle makes it way more than just another police procedural show.
It finds the right balance between hard hitting moments, heart warming characters, and witty lines.
I remember being gutted when they cancelled it. Re-watching over a decade later, I'm still gutted about it.

A simple but lovely show for kids.
The idea of exploring sounds is a nice one, and the relationship between the sound collector and mole is really well done.
The animation suits the idea perfectly, and does everything it needs to.
Although it doesn't need to have a star name for the voiceover, Keira Knightley fits it well. With a gentle but engaging tone that will help younger kids to connect with what they are seeing.
Even though it's pitched a little younger, my 7 year old loves it as a relaxing show for chilling out in the morning. I have no idea why the overall rating is so low. While not a game changer, it's quietly effective at what it sets out to do.

Although aimed at a younger audience than the movies, the show manages to take the modern interpretation of Paddington, and combine it with elements of the original kids series to great effect.
It's the perfect introduction to Paddington for kids that might later see the movies, or for kids that have seen the movies and want to engage more with the characters.
The Paddington humour comes through, as does the heart that makes the characters special. So it's still a fun watch for adults, and a good show when you want to share the laughter with your child.
It's a bit silly to score it low because it's not the movies, especially given how uniquely brilliant the first two are - but for a kids show it is very far above the average.
