How did such one sided "reporting" even get made? Seriously the only way I could see this package of lies propagated, is if someone from team Blake sponsored it. The description says "evidence supporting both sides", which quickly becomes obvious that it is all on Blake's side and there is no real evidence, all hearsay and opinions. On the other hand, Justin has put hard evidence out in the public and the proof is there, none of which was included in this sad short, posing as a documentary. There is seriously no actual evidence given by any "witness" from Blake's side, they only spout opinions and speculation on rumors and hearsay by Blake. There is such a weak case for her it's no wonder her PR team wanted this made up piece of one sided BS out in the public, hoping some dim-witted viewers would actually believe this fairytale. No one believes it- they just wasted more money trying to prove an imaginary hurt on their side. Cant wait for this little short to look even more ridiculous after Justin wins in 2026!
Holy Poop! I had to stop this episode twice so far because the directing was so bad it was distracting to the story. Normally this show is well done and fun but as soon as I saw the first scene with the weird and totally unnecessary camera swirl, attempting to be "artsy", I knew this one was gonna be different. Unfortunately it only got worse from there. The angles and zooms combined with jerky camera movements were really bad and different enough from all the previous episodes that it became the focus and completely distracted me from the actual story. But the worst, and most sophomoric camera work, we're the quick short zooms and jerky movements, like they were letting a five year old work a giant video camera from the 1980's. There was no smoothness, it was abrupt and annoying, and the added weird pans and dips and excessive shaky-cam garbage made for a horrible experience trying to stay focused on the story amid all the ridiculous camera work and directing. It eventually got so frustrating I had to rewind and try to ignore the obnoxious camera moves and offensive directing so I could try to pay attention to the story. If I didn't know any better I would think they handed a camera to a pretentious 8 year old and his equally pretentious buddy, who thought they were creating some avant-garde art film. This was the most difficult episode to watch, and made me so frustrated that I stopped the show to write how insanely appalling episode 7 is and seriously hope none of the rest of the episodes are directed by the same director and possibly some inexperienced cameramen. Just The Worst!!
This movie was so odd and disjointed I felt like I had to finish it to see if it got better or if the writer was able to come up with a coherent ending. He did not, by the way. I looked up what he was trying to say and found an interview where he even says he kept it vague because he didn't want the audience to guess his "secret". What the actual flip?! Here is an except from his interview so you can see why the movie is so bad- The goal of all this is never fully explained and much of the plot is ambiguous, but according to Singer, the story was born from "two secrets." The first clues I found for Cuckoo were the Alps and the way cuckoo birds breed," he said in the film's production notes. "The secret feeling they revealed was a mix of intrigue, sadness, and fear. When the opening secret excites me, I try connecting the clues and write a story. If I work on it long enough, I find the answer to why I carried around the feeling to begin with, why it's important to me; that's the closing secret. I rarely share the closing secret for two reasons-it's usually a private matter, and talking about it too much hurts its power-but when I found out both secrets, I got everything I need to make a movie."
Basically, if you were hoping for Singer to explain the method to his madness, you're out of luck. So as you can see he purposely makes his films ambiguous for the audience and they are only for himself and how it makes him feel. How was this guy able to make a second movie is beyond me. One thing I found amusing, the creature was dressed like she was going to a weird German night club to dance. Not scary, a little unintentionally funny, and purposely confusing and convoluted.
