James Murdock is given the opportunity to show off his talents in this lighthearted (but also dramatic) and entertaining episode. I think he was really a hidden gem on the show. Mercedes McCambridge has a presence about her that commands your attention. A strong character but yet very much a fine woman. This episode moved along and kept your attention. The combination of actors with their unique characteristics really made Rawhide and interesting show.

I think this is one of the better episodes of Gunsmoke. Excellent story, well executed and really engaging. Milburn has a straightforwardness that causes you to forget that he is acting. Ben Cooper carries his role in the story perfectly. There is something about him that seems so genuine. I won't tell you the story, just watch it and enjoy.
