The first 1/4 of the movie, maybe even 1/3. Great. Incredibly fresh, all the potential, and theeeeen.... what the hell happened? Did they change writers? Like twice? The movie feels completely shizophrenic. It does not know what it wants to be. I really don't want to spoil anything. But there is also not much more i really want to add. The cinematography and camera angles was great. But as i stated there were decisions and parts of the story that just didn't fit the movie or the frenchise at all. At times it even felt like satire, like a scary movie style. I am still in shock, what the hell happened?
The movie is great for identifying people who just don't get it. They always ask "What am i supposed to think, what am i supposed to feel, what does the movie want to say". It is exactly the type of people that are the reason why this movie is not rated 9/10 or 10/10. They just don't get it. That doesn't mean you have to have been in combat to understand the movie. No, you don't. This is about getting as close to reality as you can, without having to suffer through it yourself. You are not supposed to feel pity for anbody, you are not supposed to reflect on political decision, or moral actions. This is just an objective experience, as authentic as it can be.
