This started out with a little promise, and it was easy to see early on, that it was very little promise. I kept thinking it was going to get better and that the characters would really develop into something worthy of my time. It never does, instead this movie goes quickly off the rails! There was never an attempt to save it from the do not waste your time list. I was surprised by how bad this movie was! I listened to all the hype and believed she was denied her first Oscar. I couldn't have been more wrong! Demi Moore has given Academy Award performances in a few movies, but this WAS NOT one of them.

Loved season 1. Can't wait to watch season 2!! I love the storyline and the believability of characters. Exceptional way you're drawn in and develop feelings for the characters!

I grew up in the 60's, although younger than the age of Melody. I dressed like her even down to the eyeglasses. I grew up in Indianapolis. This was very realistic! The majority of my white teachers cared. I'm from a two parent home and had a mother who was so loving but she also stood up for us and taught me to stand up for myself. I never saw this or even knew about this show. I'm so pleased and impressed by this excellent production! I have spent much of my creative life telling people in community theater and the musical productions I've been involved in, the real black experience. Thank you for the excellent job done here!!!
