Horror fans may be fans for different aspects; chasing and screaming, blood and guts, creepy and spooky, terrifying or just a bit of the macabre. Some films are true form horror genre but others tend to incorporate the genre rather than personify it. Here is a list of films I watched in 2013 based primarily on being a horror fan. From least enjoyed to most are:

Amanda Plummer popped up in Hunger Games: Catching Fire in a role that has become quite effortless for her to personify - crazy. List from least to most is Amanda Plummer descent into pure madness.

Either, performance or film makes it worthwhile and a good combination of both makes it stellar.

Some films just keep getting a replay but for various reasons.

Beginning in 1983, a countdown of some note worthy films each year… Horror does have to have gap years - but i dug deep for at least one. Then there were difficult years filled with goodies but only 2003 deserved a double entry, if not a third ("Dead End"). And 2013 looks like it can do the same, but I haven't seem them all yet ("The Conjuring", "I, Frankenstein", "Carrie") Some remakes got the nod over the original because Im a South African - what reaches our shores first is the original. Sorry.

Some films are just so hectic to even entertain the notion of a rewatch, but are important films nonetheless if even just for a once off viewing.
