Michael J. White leads as Pete a top of his class "fixer" (hitman) who has been tagged by someone into being a snitch to his boss Matteo Acardo (John Littlefield) but things are not as they seem, A lot of tally points are compared as to who is the badass hitman in town as a very interesting group of hitmen and women all attempt to bring him in to his boss for questioning. The reward for his capture however is rather low considering his value which sets the stage for the twist. Good action, fights, a bit of gore, no nudity or questionable garbage, sme foul language but not over the top. Michael is a bit heavier (gained some weight) in this one and not as trim as in "Blood and Bone" (2009) but that was a few years ago. Still great and a good watch!. Enjoy!
This sequel if you want to call it one is quite good, It brings in more of Hutch's (Bob Odenkirk) family, and background far more than the first outing, with more information on why he is such a badass. He and his family, Becca his badass wife (Connie Nielsen), Brady his son (Gage Munroe), Sammy his daughter (Paisley Cadorath) and of course who doesn't just love to see Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) as Hutch's Dad David, go on a "family" outing to an old amusement park/waterpark that Hutch as a kid, with his brother Harry (RZA) went to with their dad David in which David (but the kids didn't know) was also a badass in his own right doing a job during that vacation. Quite fun indeed! Lot's of VERY extreme violence, gore, gun play, fights and of course Hutch getting his butt kicked through it all, The guy does take punishment like a snap on tool and comes out on top albeit with a few scratches. Nothing questionable, no nudity, lots of foul language, Everything starts with a very tiny altercation in an arcade that escalates. The cops in this film are quite corrupt and one in particular Sheriff Able (Colin Hanks, Tom's brother), he always seems to play people you just hate. Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) plays "Lendina" the local crime boss who is truly the "Cruella" (Disney 101 Dalmatians) in this film, she is not the hottie by far in this movie like she was in Basic Instinct and no leg crossing...hint. But is a ruthless ruler of her domain that will not tolerate screwups. Many said this movie was not as good as the first one but be honest NO movie is as good as the first one because the first one is the unique one that lays the foundation. Get over it. Watch this one as if you never saw the first one and you'll be fine, it is great even if you did. It is a lot of fun! Good solid action and entertainment. I really wish it went for 2 hours or more though, now I have to wait a few years for number 3! Enjoy!
Fine Finale' on this two part IMF outing. Action is great and writing, and plot are spot on. Fills in a lot of gaps from previous movies as well, kind of like the Thanos line in the MCU but no sci-fi. Very believable story given the nature of A. I. these days and the very real possibility of a true "Entity". If you saw the 1970's movie "Colossus The Forbin Project" you will see a very similar idea here, but in that movie things did not fare well. Also the Terminator movies with Skynet, all have similar takes on a rogue A. I.
Hayley Atwell (Grace) is a welcome touch in this two part movie, loved her in "Agent Carter" from the MCU. She is a great addition to the IMF team. I do not think this is the very last one, there are hints of another, like the Bond movies, they will go on and on. Which is fine by me. Both parts are very long but time flies when your having a blast! Totally family friendly, no questionable stuff , no nudity, very few foul words. Done intelligently and with class and integrity not seen much any more in movies these days. Enjoy with others. I will be seeing this a few more times! Enjoy!
