Wow... while watching the movie it just felt like it was always meant to be that way. Was a little skeptical after the trailers but ... this movie landed it.
The story beats are all there as in the original, so don't expect any major twists and turns. It's a faithful adoption, often frame perfect.
But where the OG CGI looks a little dated in reality, it might look still great in your memory.
This movie plucks it right from there, shows it to you and it just works. Masterfully crafted and I enjoyed every minute of this movie.
Watched it even in 4D ... and it gave many of the scenes a nice touch, so give it a shot in cinema, enjoy this masterwork of story telling.
Even the music is back and still fits perfectly.

Alright, I basically watched all the Alien movies 1-4 back to back. I tried to watch all of them with the lense of time on, and can appreciate what each brought to the franchise.
This is the one I feel is the most underrated based on reading all the reviews.
The move looks surprisingly good although it's almost 30 years old. Speaks to the great cinematography.
The movie for sure has a lighter tone than the previous ones, and is a horror-action-scifi movie with some humour sprinkled in through the whole experience.
Yet it manages to pull of a few surprises on anotherwise pretty straight plot line, and has a ton of memorable scenes. I've seen in 20 years ago and still remembered a lot. This does not happen for some more modern action movies I've seen not even a year ago.
You'll get the best Alien Action shots of the whole franchise so far, see a lot of xenomorphs and get some decent gore and also weird stuff.
Lean back, get some popcorn and enjoy an actually solid entry to the Alien franchise.

I am very late to watch this, and I did watch American Primeval before it. But everyone told me Godless is better.
So I gave it a shot. I felt it started really slow, and it took me some effort to push through the third episode.
For me, the story telling was just too slow at many parts. But when sticking with it, it still turns out to have some really nice moments.
Some story beats are done pretty well and the series got better over time.
The biggest highlight for me was the villain Frank Griffin. He had some interesting twists and turns to his character I did not anticipate, and turned out to be more interesting than originally anticipated.
I did enjoy American Primeval more, but by end of Godless I appreciated the story the series told regardless of the slowness or sometimes confusing action sequences.
