  • Under rated movie!

This was actually a great suspensful thriller. I'm not sure why this doesn't have better ratings but please give it a chance if you like edge of your seat action. I didn't personally feel like I knew what was coming, but even if it is slightly predictable it was a very entertaining watch. Great cast & great story. I really enjoyed it.

  • Decent movie, but NOT a feel good romance

This movie was extremely emotional. The description said feel good romance. This was not that. This started out like a seeet romance film, and then it turned out to be incredibly sad in my opinion. It was well done I'll give it that, and if you're someone who likes tear jerkers then this would be good for you. I didn't see the big twist coming in the middle. And the ending was somewhat pleasant and try to bring the mood up but I honestly just found the entire thing depressing when I was going for a feel good romance movie. So just a heads up if that's what you're looking for this isn't it, so bring your tissues if you're going to watch this one.

  • So cute!

I can't believe the bad reviews for this movie! This was such a sweet, feel-good romance. I really loved it and I thought the leads had great chemistry, Celine was a great addition. All of her music used in the soundtrack was so fun. Nick Jonas cameo was super funny too. One of the better rom-coms I have seen in a while... Idk why I waited so long to watch this, I think I allowed the less than stellar reviews on here get to me. This movie was definitely emotional and dealt with loss, but was also very hopeful and had a happy ending which is what I look for in a great rom-com. Definitely should give this a shot if you like feel good movies about love. I don't think you will be disappointed.

  • A hidden gem !

This movie was actually so cute!! I can't believe I had never heard of it before. If you like the fantasy genre and love romance and fairytales you should give this a watch. So many famous actors in this movie I went into it not knowing the full cast and it was pleasantly surprising to see so many familiar faces pop up. This movie was totally a feel-good romance; funny, and sweet. Sure it is a little corny and unrealistic but it was entertaining! The cgi definitely could've been better however it worked for the type of movie it is. Very much along the lines of princess bride. I would actually recommend this movie to friends and family. I thought they all did a great job, and it really put a smile on my face. DeNiro was hysterical, his part took me off guard and made me laugh. Michelle pfieffer was fantastic and gorgeous as always. I really enjoyed this and would probably watch it again when I want something light and happy. Reminded me of Disney movies I loved as a kid, but made for an adult. Any negative ratings here are from people who probably don't love this type of genre. Definitely worth a watch!

  • Great movie!

I don't know what some of these poor reviews are about. This is one of the best movies I've seen, and i'm surprised it's taken me this long to watch it. The acting was fantastic, jim cavezel was perfect for this role, and so was guy Pearce as a great villain. I like the morals of the story, the romance, the revenge, and the adventure of it all. Young Henry cavil was also so great in one of his first roles! This is one i'd definitely watch again and again. I loved it and I would recommend anyone who likes period dramas, epic movies, and something that has a great comeback story to give it a try. You won't be dissapointed!!

  • A fun watch!

I'm not sure why people go into these Christmas rom-coms expecting some kind of amazing gripping drama. These are for fun, something light hearted and entertaining, and this was exactly that. Was it corny? Sure, but all these movies are. I actually enjoy corny. The main leads had good chemistry together. I love CMM in everything and Brit Robertson is great as well. I would reccomend this for anyone who enjoys these kind of movies. Also side note: it was so random to see Maxwell Caulfield show up in this (aka Michael from grease 2), but it was really great to see him, he looks great!

Is this movie going to blow you out of the water? No. Is it fun? Yes. Did the main leads have great chemistry together? Yes. Is there a happy ending? Yes. All in all worth a watch!

  • Funny and cute romantic comedy!

Not sure of why there are negative reviews, if u go to see a rom-com, and get a rom com, how could you be disappointed ? This reminded me of a classic 90's/2k type movie, which I feel the cinemas have been seriously lacking for a very long time, I laughed a lot, and smiled a lot. It's a feel good film, is it Oscar worthy? No, but it is very entertaining, light hearted, and fun. I think everyone could use a little more lightening up now a days. All the negative reviews are maybe disgruntled people who are just unhappy for other reasons. I don't know what they went to the movies thinking they were going to see? But if u go in expecting a funny, romantic movie thats what your going to get ! I thought both leads were great, and had excellent chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would see this movie again.

  • Very cute & funny movie!

I don't know why this has so many bad reviews. It's not a masterpiece but it's a really cute rom-com, and it's quite funny. It's quirky and the jokes are a weird humor, but I personally really l find that funny. I thought the leads had great chemistry together, & the storyline was cute. Is it a little bit predictable? Yes, but I feel that of any rom-com. I think Tyler Hoechlin is great, I've watched him for years, Alexandra doddario isn't so bad, not the greatest actress of all time, but it works here. If you like this genre, if you like awkwardness and find it funny, if you want to see a nice feel good film, then is for you. Ignore the bad review and give this one a chance!

  • Great movie!

I don't understand the low ratings for this film! This movie had everything you could want! Suspense, thrill, a romance. I really enjoyed this and I hesitated to watch it at first because of the low imdb rating but i'm really glad I gave it a chance. I thought the special effects were great, the whole film kept me on the edge of my seat. I don't care if things are unrealistic, a movie is supposed to keep you entertained and this one did 1000%. Pierce Brosnan is handsome as ever and I think he's a great actor. I don't really have anything bad to say about this movie at all. Great chemistry between the leads as well. Perfect disaster movie. I would definitely re watch this one.

  • So cute! A very pleasing sequel!

Just as adorable as the first one. It was everything you could want in a sequel to such a wonderful first movie. Brought back a lot of memories! Love that they got the whole cast back. It wouldn't have been the same if they didn't. Great storyline, I love the twist of having the fairytale world come to them. Everyone did such a great job, the music was perfect, it's crazy how none of this cast even looks like they aged much in 15 years (besides the actress who plays Morgan who obviously grew up). I laughed, I teared up, and I smiled a lot. Really rare to find a sequel come about this many years later that can do justice to the original. This one delivered!

  • Really sweet film!

Didn't know what to make of this when reading the premise and after just starting the movie but it turned out to be a really sweet romance. The characters are a little odd and the premise is a little strange but the slow burn love between the two was endearing and truly showed two people growing and learning from eachother. The actors had excellent chemistry together as well. Scott speedman is very handsome in this role and even though his character has major flaws and messes up a few times it's nice to see his development into a better person. There are some parts that do feel out of place in such a nice movie, but overall a great watch! Very nice feel good film!

The movie was beautifully done. The cinematography was really stunning. Wonderful performances by all involved. As beautiful as it was, it was a very sad and tragic film. If you aren't a fan of tearjerkers this one's not for you.

  • Bravo! Beautifully well done remake.

I went into this not expecting to like it as much as I did. The original is one of my all time favorites so I was cautious about getting my hopes up for this remake. Turns out, I was extremely impressed. To redo such a classic is always risky, and sometimes it can be a huge disappointment, but not this one. I was blown away at the cinematography, the excellent casting, and the beautiful singing and dancing. The only couple of reasons for not giving 10 stars is because of a couple of slight changes in the song order or who sang what at what point in the movie.. and while beautifully done, the Spanish speaking parts were not subtitled in English. I do understand why the choice was made to do that, however it did make it hard for me to stay "in the movie" during those moments and I wish they had those parts subtitled so I would know what was being said. You get the jist of what they're talking about and are able to understand through the emotion of the actors, (also probably because I know the story so well), however that would've been something I appreciated them doing for any of us who do not speak Spanish. But really aside from those slight critiques, the whole movie was beautifully done. Stayed true to the original for the most part, sounded and looked beautiful, was cast extremely well. It was also nice to see that they made a part for Rita Moreno in this remake. These young actors are all very talented. Can't wait to watch it again.

  • Such a cute movie!

I don't understand the low rating and bad reviews. This was an adorable silly rom-com. I'm not sure why people would watch a movie like this expecting an Oscar nominated drama. It's light fluff, funny, & great chemistry between the leads. Definitely a feel good comedy. I enjoyed it and would watch again!

  • Cute Rom-Com!

I don't get the bad reviews. It was a really good romantic comedy. At 56 Harrison Ford still looks great and can do a lot of a great action work. The concept was a cute idea, I think they had really good chemistry. David Schwimmer is so funny. Anyone who's looking for an Oscar worthy script shouldn't be watching romantic comedies lol. Very entertaining and very fun feel-good film!
