  • Utter crap

I sat through this film mainly because I'm a fan of Gerard Butler but after leaving the cinema I'm not to sure about this fact as the last 2 films I've seen him have been utter rubbish.

More about this film now, Okay I give 1 star for effects and cinematography but the story is so far out there that I got totally bored after 30 mins but just hoped it might get better (it didn't.)

Set in ancient Egypt with over sized gods and mythical beasts of old just didn't do it for me, acting wasn't all that great, and the way in every film Gerard speaks through the side of his mouth with the same accent (Bit like Sean Connery making sure by the end of the film they remember he's Scottish) is getting a little boring now.

So if you like Mythical beasts and gods, give it a go, you may enjoy it, but if you want to see a decent film that's gripping and enjoyable, get a DVD and watch something else.

  • As expected

Just as I expected, another pile of crap. Hollywood must be really getting short of decent ideas and script writers with another really bad movie. I managed to last 40 minutes before my eyes started to bleed and my ears virtually exploded from the continual drivel and poor acting this film has to offer. The Expendables franchise surely must be re-named - The Hasbeens who struggle to find a film, which is a pity as quite a few of the cast have had a lot of success during their life time (Mel Gibson being just one).

At the end of the day this is only my take on the film, there are plenty of people (mostly brainless zombies) who really enjoy mass explosions and never empty rifle magazines. But I'd rather watch re-runs of Knotts Landings and Beverly Hills 90210.

  • Brilliant film

Having watched the series of Britains Got Talent and remember seeing Paul Potts do his audition I can still see the nervous man walk onto stage amongst giggles and snickers from the audience. Once Paul started singing the hairs on my arms shot straight up and a cold shiver of amazement ran down my back at the magnificence and power of his voice.

The film shows most of the life of Paul before going on the show and the hardships he went through still believing in his love for opera and wanting to sing so much.

An absolutely brilliant film and well worth the watch as it has a great support cast with lots of humour, and by the end of the film you'll want to know more about the man from Wales.
